Finn's contract terminated

Sampsa Timoska has had his Queens Park Rangers contract terminated by mutual consent. The defender moved to Loftus Road from Finnish club MyPa last January and quickly broke into the side. However, he has only figured once since November and fell further down the pecking order last month as Luigi De Canio brought in a number of reinforcements. Kieran Lee, Matthew Connolly, Fitz Hall and Damien Delaney all arrived to compete for places at the back and it has now been decided that Timoska should leave the club with immediate effect. A club statement read: "Queens Park Rangers Football Club would like to place on record its thanks to Sami for his contribution during his time at Loftus Road and wish him all the best for the future."
