Chelsea youngster makes loan move

Chelsea youngster Liam Bridcutt has joined Yeovil on loan until May. The 18-year-old midfielder has been a regular in the Chelsea reserve side this season and has now been allowed to go out and gain some first-team experience. Russell Slade cast his eye over Bridcutt as Yeovil's second string drew 0-0 with Forest Green Rovers and was impressed by his all-action display. Slade had no hesitation in offering Bridcutt a contract and is now excited about the impact he could make at Huish Park. "He is an Essien-style midfielder, so he likes to get around the pitch," Slade told Yeovil's official website. "His feet are good and he's got a great attitude and a real maturity for a footballer who is only 18." As well as reminding him of Essien, Slade believes Bridcutt is also similar in style to Darren Way, who recently moved back to Yeovil on loan from Swansea. Slade explained: "He is very much in that mould and as he gets to know his team-mates he could easily grow into that."
