Trotters boss happy at display despite defeat
Bolton boss Gary Megson refused to get too down after losing a heartbreaker at home to Portsmouth.
The Trotters battered Pompey at The Reebok, but slipped to a controversial late defeat.
Lassana Diarra lashed home late on, but he looked offside from Kanu's through-ball, and Megson believes it was an easy decision.
"We've all seen it and it is offside," he told
Sky Sports. "It's gone against us. It's one of those things.
Difficult
"It's difficult for linesmen and we're not going to start moaning at them now."
Megson believes Bolton's display was their best since he has been at the helm and they would have won on any other day - had David James not been in goal.
"That's the best display since I've been here. We've had chance upon chance," he continued.
"That's the best goalkeeping performance I've seen for a long time. He made one save and he had no right getting to it.
"It was one-way traffic. I'd certainly swap places with Harry (Redknapp) tonight.
"It was a very good performance. Take David James off that and we win."
