Gabon international Guy Tchingoma has died after collapsing on the field during a match in his homeland at the weekend.
The 21-year-old midfielder collapsed during the closing stages of the Premier Division match between his club FC105 Libreville and US Mbiliandzami.
The local Gabonews agency reported that there were no medical attendants available at the game.
Tchingoma was pronounced dead on arrival after being taken to hospital in the team bus, and a cause of death has yet to be given.
He was born in Congo, but was granted Gabonese nationality and made his international debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast last September.
