Radek Cerny admits it will be a 'special experience' if he returns to Slavia Prague in the Uefa Cup as Tottenham's No.1.
Cerny has become first choice in the Tottenham goal under manager Juande Ramos, but the 33-year-old's loan deal expires at the end of the season.
However, the Czech shot-stopper admits he is looking forward to the opportunity to impress against his parent club after only making the substitutes' bench when the two sides met last season.
"Last year I was here on the bench and that was a great experience for me still," said Cerny. "I feel good about my form and achievements this year.
"If I play it will be a very special experience for me and I will try my best as I do in every match.
Emotional
"There are great emotions coming back, maybe there are not so many players but there are many from Slavia who I know and we call regularly when I'm in England.
"It's not about being No.1 or No.2. It is about who is the best at that moment. I'm glad, of course, to be playing a lot recently and I'll be glad if I'm playing against Slavia."
Ramos, though, has hinted that it is not yet guaranteed that Cerny will be offered a permanent deal at White Hart Lane.
"We have plenty of matches coming up and we are not thinking about next year's line-up yet," added Ramos.
"For every match we look at the form of every player and we decide who will play. No-one has secured their position."
