Efforts to make pitches playable prove to be in vain
All four League Two fixtures scheduled to take place on Tuesday have been postponed due to frozen pitches.
Rochdale's game with Notts County, Darlington's home fixture with Chester City, Stockport County against Mansfield Town, and now Hereford United's hosting of Wrexham have all succumbed to the weather.
Dale made a concerted effort to ensure the game went ahead following the freezing temperatures in recent days.
The club were burning wood and cardboard in drums mounted on breeze blocks in an attempt to keep the frost at bay and ensure the Spotland pitch stayed soft.
But, despite the club's efforts to stage the match, the pitch is not deemed to be in a playable condition.
Darlington's game at home to Chester has also been called off after a pitch inspection on Tuesday morning.
The meeting between Stockport and Mansfield at Edgeley Park has also been postponed after a pitch inspection.
Hereford's match with Wrexham at Edgar Street was the last to fall after a 1pm pitch inspection showed the condition of the pitch would not improve in time for kick-off.
