Barca to give 100 per cent despite first leg success
Barcelona assistant manager Johan Neeskens says the Liga giants will not be taking the second leg of their Champions League clash with Celtic lightly.
Barca are in the driving seat to progress to the quarter-finals of the competition after claiming a 3-2 win at Celtic Park with a magnificent attacking display in Glasgow.
Neeskens took charge of Barca on Wednesday as manager Frank Rijkaard was suspended, although it mattered little as a brace from Lionel Messi and a fantastic strike from Thierry Henry secured the win for the visitors.
"We came out here and tried to win. That's happened so we are very happy with the result," he told
Sky Sports.
Difficult
"We know it's very difficult to play here at Celtic because the results they've had before.
"But I think we started very well, but Celtic scored with their first attack. It was very good we tied the game immediately.
"I think overall we controlled the game and we deserved to win.
"Our philosophy is to attack. We always try to play with three up front. It doesn't matter who we play.
"There's a game to go. We have to take it (the second leg) very seriously. We have to give 100 per cent at home to get a good result."
