Thierry Henry on Everton's stuttering Premier League form

Thierry Henry believes Everton should be judged on how they bounce back from their recent setbacks after their disheartening 3-2 defeat at Watford.

After their fine start to the campaign, the Toffees have embarked on a dismal run of form which has seen them win just one of their last 11 games in all competitions.

A tough festive period lies ahead for Ronald Koeman's men, with home matches against Arsenal and Merseyside rivals Liverpool followed by a trip to champions Leicester.

Having had joy against Arsenal in his managerial career, Henry has challenge Koeman to atone for their downturn against the Gunners.

"We went through times where confidence was down at Arsenal. It happens to the best," he told Premier League Live.

"The question comes on how teams react, how they bounce back. Everton are going to find themselves in a situation where they have got to play Arsenal next.

"Koeman managed to bounce back against Arsenal during his time at Southampton - last season in a similar type of fixture at the end of a similar type of run - so let's see if he can do it."

Everton manager Ronald Koeman accused his players of reacting to slowly to adversity as they suffered defeat at the hands of Watford

"We talk about Everton's confidence but they were 1-0 up away from home, playing well and their striker, who had scored for a long time, has just scored," the Sky Sports pundit added.

"It looked like it was going to be their game but suddenly the fear of winning got bigger than the fear of losing.

"It's a weird one, sometimes when you're not in the right frame of mind teams panic and become passive.

Walter Mazzarri said it was a very important win as his Watford side ended a run of defeats to beat Everton in the Premier League
