Bees bid to bounce back

Brentford have the opportunity to bounce back from their first defeat of 2008 when they travel to the Frazer Eagle Stadium to take on struggling Accrington Stanley on Tuesday. Having remained unbeaten since Boxing Day, the Bees slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday and manager Andy Scott will demand his side return to winning ways as a spot in the League Two play-off places is not out of the question this season. Meanwhile, Accrington - who have won only once in 10 league games - are looking nervously towards the bottom of the table as they bid to maintain their Football League status. Scott has an injury headache ahead of the trip north and has doubts over the fitness of captain Matthew Heywood, Nathan Elder (knee) and Osei Sankofa (rib). Heywood came off against Chesterfield with a rib injury and is struggling to regain fitness.

Harris return

Kevin O'Connor, Ross Montague and Craig Pead also missed the match at Saltergate and are again thought to be unlikely to feature. Scott is unlikely to rush John Mousinho and Charlie Ide back from long-term injuries and on-loan Fulham midfielder Wayne Brown could start. Accrington, who are well aware Wrexham and Mansfield enjoy the luxury of games in hand at the foot of the table, will welcome Jay Harris back from suspension. The former Everton midfielder served a one-match suspension in Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Stockport and is now available for selection. Loan signing Paulo Monteiro - who recently joined the club from Charlton - could also feature in defence.
