Internazionale ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he has been playing through the pain barrier with a knee injury.
The Swedish international claims he has a hole in his knee tendon and that he has been struggling with the problem for some time.
Ibrahimovic is set to miss Wednesday's clash with Roma so that he can rest his knee and he is unsure when he will be able to recover from the injury.
"I have a hole in my tendon," Ibrahimovic told
Corriere Dello Sport. "It has been hurting for a long time and I don't know when it will heal.
"I didn't want to say anything because I have just been thinking about winning with this team, but now I realise that I am taking a big risk and so I am resting."
Ibrahimovic also denied reports of bust-up with team-mate Marco Materazzi after last week's UEFA Champions league defeat to Liverpool.
The former Ajax striker was reported to have blamed Materazzi for Inter's 2-0 defeat at Anfield, but he says he has no problem with the Italian international.
"I didn't have it in for Materazzi at Anfield," added Ibrahimovic. "I didn't see the fouls.
"Marco told me that they weren't bookings and I believe him - it was the referee's fault. In any case, we can overturn the deficit."
