Hoskins going nowhere

Colin Calderwood has refuted suggestions that Will Hoskins is set to be sent back to Watford.

Striker set to remain at Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood has refuted suggestions that Will Hoskins is set to be sent back to Watford. The striker is currently on loan at the City Ground from the Championship club but has been restricted to just two appearances due to a troublesome back injury. This lack of first-team activity had aroused suspicions that he would be forced into an early return to his parent club. However, Calderwood has confirmed that he expects Hoskins to be back in training this week and insists that he remains very much part of his plans for the rest of the season.

Improvement

"There's been a quite a dramatic improvement in Will's condition and the way things are looking at the moment he should be back training before the end of the week," he told Forest's official website. "The Carlisle game on Monday might come too quickly for him but if all goes well we would certainly look to have him back in contention sooner rather than later. "There seemed to be a story going around that we were looking to send Will back to Watford but that's certainly not the case. "As he is still Watford's player we were keen to inform them of his injury out of courtesy."
