Terriers without Worthington; Swans shuffle defence

Huddersfield midfielder Jon Worthington will miss the home clash with Swansea due to an ankle problem. The Terriers skipper, who has struggled with various injuries throughout the season, sustained the damage in last week's defeat at Gillingham in his first match back since shaking off a hamstring strain. Worthington is also expected to miss next Tuesday's clash at Swindon, but has responded well to treatment and may be back quicker than first thought. Central defender David Mirfin is back in contention following a back injury, but striker Danny Cadamarteri has suffered a setback after taking a knock on his knee in a reserve-team outing. James Berrett could return to manager Andy Ritchie's starting line-up in Worthington's absence, or Ritchie could opt to switch Michael Collins from out wide into the middle and recall Malvin Kamara to the wing.

Rare start

Kevin Austin is expected to make a rare start at centre-back as Swansea defend their unbeaten run against the last team to beat them in the league. Marcos Painter has been ruled out for over three weeks with a hamstring injury and joins Dennis Lawrence (knee) and Kevin Amankwaah on the sidelines. Therefore Austin is expected to partner Garry Monk at the back, with Angel Rangel cleared to play at left-back after his recent bouts of cramp. Ferrie Bodde (shoulder) and Leon Britton (calf) could return to the midfield as the Swans attempt to bounce back from their Johnstone's Paint Trophy exit to MK Dons on Monday. Spanish striker Guillem Bauza remains out with a hamstring problem, so Jason Scotland and Febian Brandy should retain their starting berths. Roberto Martinez's runaway league leaders are unbeaten in 17 league matches since Malvin Kamara's winner for the Terriers at the Liberty Stadium in November.
