Barca boss shrugs off rumours

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has shrugged off rumours linking him with the managerial position at Chelsea. Blues boss Avram Grant came in for criticism following last week's Carling Cup final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The pressure led to reports that Rijkaard, who has been linked with the Chelsea position in the past, could be set to take over at Stamford Bridge. But the Dutchman is ignoring the speculation, and is instead channelling his focus on preparing his side for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash against Celtic. He said: "I am aware of the rumours but they are that - rumours - and they have not affected me or my team. "Right now I am just concentrating on getting results on the pitch. "I am not thinking about anything else at the moment."

Relax

Barca head into the second leg of their last 16 tie against the SPL champions with the upper-hand following their 3-2 success at Celtic Park a fortnight ago. But Rijkaard has insisted that his men are taking nothing for granted and will be on their guard from the first minute. He said: "I don't think we can relax, there is still a game to be played. "We respect Celtic, they are a good team who will be looking to play well but we need to finish the job. "It is important that the public see a good game and we always try to play as well as we can but the most important thing is to qualify."
