Foster steps up return from knee surgery
Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has continued on the road to recovery by coming through United's reserve game against Middlesbrough unscathed.
Foster is recovering from knee surgery and stepped up his rehabilitation by playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-1 win.
Goals from Sam Hewson and Chris Eagles gave United the edge at the Marston's Arena, while Foster was rarely tested during his first competitive appearance in 10 months until being beaten by a second-half penalty from Boro's Graham Owens.
The 24-year-old England international had surgery on a cruciate ligament injury last summer after picking up a knee problem during a successful loan spell with Watford last season.
