Former England star Paul Gascoigne has been released from hospital after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act .
Gascoigne was sectioned following a series of incidents at a hotel in Gateshead last month.
The former Tottenham and Newcastle star has been receiving treatment for a number of problems, but he has now been allowed to return home.
Gascoigne has endured numerous emotional problems since his retirement from the game.
He has battled against alcohol-related and drug problems for years as he struggled to come to terms with life without football.
Gascoigne has been offered support by Newcastle and Tottenham as well as by many of his former team-mates as he looks to get his life back on track
