Disciplinary proceedings open against Lyon
Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against Lyon over the laser incident involving Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Manchester United winger was targeted by a laser beam during the warm-up and the first half of last month's UEFA Champions League match at Stade Gerland.
United reported the incident and Uefa's Control and Disciplinary Committee will now examine evidence in preparation for a hearing on 20th March.
Lyon took the lead against United but Carlos Tevez struck in the closing stages to make the first leg score 1-1.
A Ronaldo goal then gave United victory at Old Trafford to knock Lyon out of the competition.
