Rumours over Grant's future spread to Spain

Getafe coach Michael Laudrup has labelled speculation that links him with Avram Grant's job at Chelsea as being 'stupid'. The Israeli tactician is beginning to feel the pressure in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat following an FA Cup elimination to Championship side Barnsley, which when coupled with a lethargic display in defeat to Tottenham in the Carling Cup final, has seen talk of an exit intensify. Grant is thought to have conceded that only UEFA Champions League or Premier League glory will save him, with speculation having suggested he will be moved back upstairs should he fail to deliver. It has been reported that Chelsea have already engaged in preliminary discussions with 43-year-old Laudrup, but the Dane has now rejected this notion. "I've learnt to live with rumours," he told Ekstra Bladet. "No matter how stupid they are."
