Keeper joins his second Championship club of the season
Coventry have signed Kasper Schmeichel on loan for the rest of the season from Manchester City.
The keeper arrives at the Ricoh Arena with the Sky Blues precariously perched just two points above the relegation zone.
The Danish U21 international began the season as first choice under Sven-Goran Eriksson at the City of Manchester Stadium, but has recently enjoyed a 14-game loan spell with Cardiff.
He has also picked up valuable first-team experience during previous stints at Darlington, Bury and Falkirk.
He is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's home game with Sheffield Wednesday and will be competing with Andy Marshall for the No.1 jersey.
Top class
Schemeichel's new boss Chris Coleman is delighted to have the youngster on board and expects him to demonstrate his considerable ability during his time with the Championship club.
He said: "Kasper has shown this season that he has all the attributes to be a top class Premier League goalkeeper and I have no doubt he will be a very valuable addition to the squad.
"He has great ability and strength, plus he has age on his side. The future is certainly bright for him."
