Argentinean backs midfielder to lead silverware charge
Carlos Tevez believes Manchester United team-mate Paul Scholes is crucial in ensuring glory at Old Trafford this season.
United face a battle to make the UEFA Champions League final in Russia, with Roma their opponents in the quarter-finals.
Scholes scored in United's FA Cup win over Newcastle in their 1999 Treble winning season but missed out on their Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich through suspension.
The 24-year-old admits he was surprised by Scholes' commitment when he joined the club last summer and insists he will be key in bringing silverware to Old Trafford.
Quality
"When you see Scholes day to day, he's incredible," Tevez told
The Sun.
"He's the motor of Manchester and has been for a long while.
"He's a fundamental piece for the manager and ourselves - that's very noticeable - and he has incredible quality and personality.
"Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney are fantastic players but if you ask me who is the one that has surprised me the most, then it's Scholesy."
