Striker to miss MK Dons' Wembley final
Milton Keynes Dons striker Drewe Broughton has extended his loan spell at Wrexham into a third and final month.
Broughton has scored once in 12 appearances for League Two's bottom club since originally moving to the Racecourse Ground in January.
He briefly returned to MK Dons to score the winning penalty against Swansea City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, which booked a trip to Wembley this weekend.
Though Broughton will be with MK Dons for Sunday's game against Grimsby Town, he opted to extend his stint at Wrexham as he did not expect to feature in Paul Ince's plans.
Very happy
"I'm very happy to be staying at Wrexham," Broughton told the club's
official website.
"Despite playing a part in the Swansea City game, there was little chance of me being in the side to face Grimsby at the final.
"Anyway, I feel I can be of more use to Wrexham as we continue our fight to lift the club out of the relegation places."
Broughton will be unavailable to face MK Dons next month and the loan also expires before the final day game against Lincoln City.
