Chris Innes has confirmed he has been made redundant by Gretna's administrators.
The former club captain has been informed he is no longer an employee of the financially-stricken SPL side, with a statement from administrators Wilson Field expected on Wednesday afternoon.
The club's community coaches have also been dismissed, with Innes left to reflect on his time at basement dwellers Gretna.
"I got a call from the administrator to say that I was no longer of service to the club," Innes told the
BBC.
"I've had three and a bit fantastic years at Gretna, but now I'll have to look for pastures new."
Gretna have closed down their community coaching operation, with coaches Kevin Somerville, Darren Edmondson, Paul Menlove, Ross Murray, David Bradbury and Kenni Dinnell all axed.
"It is with regret that the club announce the conclusion of community football activities," Gretna announced in a statement.
It is understood that Innes will be joined on the redundancy list by several more Gretna players on Wednesday.
