Former Chelsea boss rejects rumours about imminent Italian job

Jose Mourinho has categorically denied rumours suggesting he has met with Internazionale about succeeding Roberto Mancini. The former Chelsea boss was thought to be in talks with the Serie A champions about taking over at the end of the season, but the Portuguese has told an agency in his homeland that there is no truth in the reports. A statement issued to Lusa said: "I say categorically that it is not true that I went to Milan, that I met with (Inter president) Massimo Moratti, who I do not have the pleasure of knowing personally. "It is false to say that I am on the point of agreeing a contract with Inter Milan." Mourinho has been out of work since leaving Stamford Bridge at the start of the season.
