Fitness worries for Cardiff

Parry and Thompson should be fit, but Feeney to miss out

Cardiff City's top scorer Paul Parry is expected to be fit for the FA Cup semi-final with Barnsley, but Warren Feeney is likely to miss out. Parry was replaced just after half-time in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with West Brom after picking up a hamstring injury. Steven Thompson played only the first half at Ninian Park, while his replacement Feeney lasted just nine minutes before being substituted. Feeney's hamstring injury looks certain to rule him out of Sunday's semi-final at Wembley against Barnsley, which is live on Sky Sports 1. But Cardiff boss Dave Jones is confident that Parry and Thompson will shrug off their respective knocks to be available.

Precaution

"We took Paul off as a precaution as he was having a problem with his hamstring," said Jones. "If I'm playing a semi-final of the FA Cup I would play with a broken leg. "It would take more than that to keep me out, so I would be disappointed if they [Parry and Thompson] weren't ready."
