Liedson looking for away goal at Ibrox

Liedson has told skysports.com that he is confident Sporting Lisbon can see off Rangers in the quarter-finals of the Uefa Cup. Sporting booked their place in the last eight by beating Bolton in the previous round and Brazilian striker Liedson accepts that Rangers could prove much stiffer opposition. But he has urged his team-mates to seize their chance and make sure they progress further in the competition. The first leg is at Ibrox and Liedson recognises the importance of scoring an away goal. He told skysports.com: "We will play the two matches at 100 per cent. It is necessary to have a wining mentality and to think that the matches are like a final.

Dream

"I am prepared to maintain a hard fight against the Scottish defenders. "It is not always possible to get to the quarter-finals of the Uefa Cup and we do not want to fail. This is a dream for any professional player. "I believe that the Scottish will be more complicated than Bolton but to play the second match in Lisbon is a little advantage that we need to exploit." Liedson insists he will be inspired rather than intimidated by the atmosphere at Rangers. He said: "Will there be fear because of the atmosphere? Never. A Brazilian player is prepared for anything and these situations always increase my level on the field."
