Kerry Dixon thinks a Stamford Bridge second leg makes Chelsea favourites for their CL clash with Liverpool.
But both games will be tight, says Blues legend
Chelsea have a crucial psychological advantage over Liverpool in the fight for a place in the Champions League final, according to their former captain Kerry Dixon.
The teams meet in the semi-finals for the third time in four seasons, with the form book favouring Rafa Benitez's men, who have already overcome the Londoners twice at the last-four stage.
But ex-Chelsea striker Dixon believes the odds are in Avram Grant's favour this time around - because the second and decisive leg will be played at Stamford Bridge.
"I think the deciding factor could be that the second leg is at Stamford Bridge, as opposed to the previous two encounters when Chelsea have had to go to Anfield," said Dixon.
Liverpool edged out Arsenal to take their place in the last four, while Chelsea dispatched Turkish giants Fenerbahce, and Dixon admits boths ties between the domestic rivals are bound to be close.
"Both games will be tight and if any of the previous encounters are anything to go by, they won't necessarily be classics or high-scoring games."
Chelsea face Liverpool at Anfield on 22nd April before hosting the return leg on 30th April.
