Striker wants to stay in Europe
Middlesbrough misfit Lee Dong-gook has ruled out a return to the K-League next term.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate recently stated that Lee will leave Teeside at the end of the season, and it is widely rumoured the 29-year-old will return to South Korea.
However, reports in the Far East suggest the former Pohang Steelers star has no intention of returning home and will continue to do his best to impress Southgate and potential suitors over the coming months.
According to
Sports Seoul, Lee is not ready to give up his dream of playing regularly in Europe after working so hard to earn a deal at the Riverside Stadium.
He stressed that returning to the K-League is definitely not an option for him but is ready to listen to offers from other clubs.
Lee joined Boro in January 2007 but struggled to make any impact, scoring just two goals.
