Oxford United face Gillingham in second round of the Checkatrade Trophy

Last season's finalists Oxford United will travel to Gillingham in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Previous winners Port Vale, who won the trophy in 1993 and 2001, face League One leaders Shrewsbury Town.

England Under-17 World Cup-winning manager Steve Cooper and Southampton legend Matthew Le Tissier conducted the draw at Wembley ahead of England's friendly with Germany.

Six of the 16 ties have yet to be completed, with six first-round games still to be played on 28-29 November.

The second round fixtures will take place on the week commencing December 4.
