Arsene Wenger praised his Arsenal side after they claimed a 1-0 triumph over Everton at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Wenger was pleased with the display, highlighting the manner of the goal which saw his side score from an uncharacteristic cross and header.
"They defended well and we didn't create too many chances but in the end we got one from a good cross," he told
Sky Sports.
"I like this kind of goal; we don't get too many like that. It was a great goal.
"We controlled them well. I think 1-0 is fair with how the game went."
Gilberto and Hleb
Wenger, who also confirmed Jens Lehmann had played his last game for the club, admitted that he is keen to keep hold of Brazilian midfielder Gilberto.
"No [this was not his last game for the club]. Not necessarily. Gilberto is still under contract. We need to assess his situation and he needs to think about it," Wenger said.
"We would love him to stay, but I can understand that he didn't get as many games as he wanted this year."
Wenger also refused to speculate on the future of Alexander Hleb, who has been linked with a move to Serie A.
"Hleb is under contract for two more years. There is no situation. We want to keep our team together," Wenger said.
Flamini
The French tactician also confirmed that he expects to know whether Mathieu Flamini will remain at the club in the next 24 hours.
"The only situation we don't master is Mathieu, who is free to sign with whoever he wants," Wenger continued. "I think his situation will be sorted out in the next 24 hours. I have no gut feeling [on his future]."
