Broughton, Carbon, Collins, Edds and Murphy not offered deals
MK Dons have announced that five players will not be offered new deals after their current contracts expire at the end of the season.
Striker Drewe Broughton, defenders Matt Carbon, Sam Collins, Gareth Edds and Kieran Murphy have all been made available for free transfers as manager Paul Ince rebuilds his side ahead of its challenge in League One next term.
Edds, who signed from Bradford City in 2004, was singled out for praise by chairman Pete Winkelman after his late goal against Tranmere in the 2004/5 season which kept Dons in League One
Winkelman told the
club's official website: "I'd like to thank all the players for their work with the club, particularly Gareth Edds after four years of service and some unforgettable moments.
"While Drewe and Matt have only been with us for a year, their respective efforts both on and off the pitch have contributed a great deal to what has been an historic season for the club.
"I wish them all the very best of luck with their future careers."
