Poyet dismisses striker talk

Gus Poyet has dismissed reports linking Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o with a move to Tottenham. Barcelona president Joan Laporta admitted this week there was a strong possibility of Eto'o leaving Camp Nou over the summer. The Cameroon international has been connected with a number of top clubs and speculation suggested Tottenham had identified him as one of their main transfer targets. However, Poyet has insisted that Spurs are not looking to launch a bid for the 27-year-old. "Samuel Eto'o is not a priority for our team. Moreover, we're not interested in him," the assistant manager told Spanish radio station Ona FM. Spurs have already agreed a £16.5million deal with Dinamo Zagreb for Luka Modric and club directors will discuss more possible transfers next week. Poyet explained: "We'll be having a meeting next week to talk about signings, as we've already made one interesting one for next season."
Goalkeeping coach
Meanwhile, Spurs have appointed Austrian Hans Leitert as goalkeeping coach. "We took a lot of care in our search and we believe Hans will bring many qualities to the club," sporting director Damien Comolli told the club's official website.
