Macclesfield vs Port Vale preview

Sol Campbell will be hoping for more of the same against Port Vale after marking his first home game in charge of Macclesfield with victory over Crawley last weekend.
That match saw Jordan Ponticelli return from injury as a substitute, and there could be more good news on the injury front with Jared Hodgkiss nearing a return to first-team action as well.
Callum Evans is also pushing for a return following an ankle problem, meaning Campbell is close to having all his players available. Though the Silkmen remain bottom of League Two, they have won three of their last four games.
Port Vale have no fresh injury worries ahead of the short trip. Defenders Leon Legge and Mitchell Clark both returned in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Cheltenham.
Assistant manager Lee Nogan has spoken about the continued absence of Ricky Miller, David Worrall and Ben Whitfield from first-team action, saying there were no issues and it was up to the players to earn a recall. Nogan said the busy festive period may offer opportunities for the trio to break back in.
