Benfica want to re-sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Ricardo Rocha, according to reports in Portugal.
Rocha originally left Benfica to move to White Hart Lane in January 2007, but has been unable to make a significant impact.
He suffered an ankle injury last September and the Portugal international has not featured for Spurs since Juande Ramos replaced Martin Jol as manager.
Ramos has also been adding options to his defence and Rocha could find himself surplus to requirements over the summer.
Reports in his homeland suggest Benfica are exploring the possibility of making an offer to bring the 29-year-old back to the club.
New coach Quique Sanchez Flores is keen to improve his back-line and could offer Rocha the chance to play regular first-team football next season.
