Mexican forward not heading home
Nery Castillo's agent has played down speculation linking his client with a move to Mexico.
Reports emanating out of Central America have suggested that the forward could be heading back to his homeland less than six months after joining Manchester City on a one-year loan deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Guadalajara are believed to be the interested party as they are keen to replace the Deportivo La Coruna-bound Omar Bravo.
Castillo has struggled to adapt to life in England, although a broken shoulder on his debut in January has hardly helped his cause.
He subsequently made eight further appearances for City, failing to leave a lasting impression on any of those matches.
Having been taken to Eastlands by Sven Goran Eriksson, the uncertainty surrounding the manager's future is also proving detrimental to his chances of remaining in England.
However his agent, Juan Carlos Padilla, insists that Castillo has every intention of staying in Eruope, for now.

"I have not talked to any Guadalajara director," he told
Mediotiempo.
"I'm sure Nery will complete his spell in Europe. Nery is a very young player
and we know he is going to have a superb form soon.
"He is an important player in an important team, so I have to say that, at
least at this moment, it is a definitive 'no'."
Padilla added: "Even though it has been a difficult year for Nery, we cannot
think about going back.
"When players succeed in football is because they know how to step up. Next
season, he will succeed.
"Then we'll see if he can play in Mexico, but it will happen in five to nine
years."
