Man City manager Sven Goran Eriksson will learn his fate at Eastlands in just over two weeks.

Manager to be informed of fate by 15th June

Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson will learn his fate at Eastlands in just over two weeks, according to an advisor of club owner Thaksin Shinawatra. Eriksson's future has been the subject of widespread speculation following City's slump in the second half of last season and it has been rumoured that the Swede will agree to take over as manager of Mexico. It has now been revealed that Thaksin has set a deadline by which Eriksson will be informed of his future in England. Pairoj Piempongsant, a Thai businessman who aids Thaksin and is actively involved in recruiting of players for City, has announced that the club will make a decision by 15th June. "The negotiations must be complete by 15th June, which include the team manager," Pairoj told the Thansettakij newspaper.

Ronaldinho pursuit

Pairoj has also confirmed that City are continuing their pursuit of Ronaldinho, who looks set to leave Barcelona this summer, after confirming talks with the Brazilian ace last week. "I presented him with a vision why we strongly believe in his potential, that he is the best player of the world," added Pairoj. "There are several clubs, all bigger than Man City, that are approaching him. "There isn't anything left for him to win. It is like a teenager who gets bored with something quickly and always looks for new challenges."
