Defenders depart Doncaster
Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll has begun his preparations for next season by releasing defenders Graeme Lee and Matthew Noble.
Club captain Lee made just one first-team appearance for Rovers in an injury-hit campaign last season, and spent time on loan at both former club Hartlepool and League Two Shrewsbury.
Young Noble was handed his first professional deal last summer but failed to break into the first-team picture and spent much of the campaign on loan at Spennymoor Town and Guiseley.
"The situation regarding out-of-contract players being offered new deals and those being released was decided a long time ago," manager Sean O'Driscoll told the club's official website.
"That was done during the transfer window in January. You have players coming to the end of their contracts worried about what is going to happen, so in effect, we guaranteed them at that point that whatever happened at the end of the season, we would guarantee them another year.
"We wish Graeme and Matt all the best and good luck to both of them for the future."
