Swansea chairman holding out for £2million

Swansea City have rejected a second offer from Derby County for unsettled midfielder Ferrie Bodde. The Dutchman has asked to quit the Liberty Stadium over the summer, just a year after joining the club from ADO Den Haag. Derby saw a £500,000 bid for Bodde turned down last month and have now increased the amount to £750,000. However, Swansea want at least £2million before considering Bodde's exit and chairman Huw Jenkins confirmed Derby's latest bid fell short of his valuation. "As far as we are concerned, we're in the same frame of mind as we have always been," said Jenkins. "We sent them a response pretty quickly, we rejected their offer. "It comes nowhere near our valuation, so we will sit tight and see what develops from here until the start of the season."
