Plymouth's Luke McCormick has been bailed after being charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Boys' mother attends court to see goalkeeper charged
Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Luke McCormick was bailed by magistrates on Monday after being charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
His court appearance came after Arron Peak, 10, and his brother Ben, eight, were killed on the M6 in Staffordshire on Saturday morning.
The Toyota Previa people carrier in which they were travelling with their father and three friends was hit by a black Range Rover shortly before 5.45am.
McCormick, 24, who was driving the Range Rover, appeared at Fenton magistrates' court in Stoke-on-Trent on Monday also charged with driving with excess alcohol and driving without insurance.
He was given conditional bail and will appear next at Stoke Crown Court on 16th June.
Teddy bear
Amanda Peak, 30, the mother of the two boys, arrived at court to see McCormick charged clutching a teddy bear and a framed photograph of her sons.
Their father, Phil Peak, 37, who was at the wheel of the Toyota, sustained a suspected broken neck and back in the crash.
The three other occupants of the Toyota were treated for minor injuries.
