We head into Day Four of our console version of Euro 2008 still revelling in the excitement of
Day Three's thrilling Group C encounter in Berne. Today, it's the turn of Group D and the much-fancied Spaniards take centre stage...
Tuesday 10 June
Spain v Russia
David Silva's 29th-minute drive across Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev gives Spain a narrow half-time lead in Innsbruck, but the favourites are stunned soon after the restart as Iker Casillas inexplicably drops a catch onto his knee which bounces awkwardly over the line for an own goal.
Spain recover from the shock to go in front again as David Villa finishes from close range after a Fernando Torres header is saved.
In the second half, a rush of blood from Sergio Ramos gives Russia the chance to level from the spot but Ivan Saenko hits his penalty wide, and Russia's misery is complete when skipper Sergei Semak is sent off for a bad tackle from behind on Xabi Alonso.
Final score: Spain 2 Russia 1.
Greece v Sweden
A Salzburg clash that looked fairly dull on paper proves to be anything but. Ioannis Amanatidis gives Greece a 17th-minute lead after some questionable defending from Freddie Ljungberg, but Sweden show they mean business as Markus Rosenberg clatters the post.
Then Anders Svensson scores the goal of the tournament so far, a 25-yard swerving shot that bounces down off the bar, before spinning back over the line on 30 minutes.
Giorgos Karagounis restores the Greek advantage with a classy strike on the hour mark and the holders look set to start their defence with a win, only for Markus Allback to stun them in stoppage time with a well-taken equaliser.
Final score: Greece 2 Sweden 2.
Exciting stuff, I'm sure you'll agree. Next, we're back across the border in Switzerland for round two in Group A...
