Defender set to stay for four more years
Internazionale's veteran defender Ivan Cordoba has penned a new contract with the club.
The Colombian international has been at Giuseppe Meazza until 2000 and will now pass a decade of service in Milan having agreed to stay until 2012.
The centre-half suffered a serious knee injury during a UEFA Champions League contest with Liverpool in February, but is held in high regard with the Nerazzuri.
Cordoba will be 32 by the time the 2008/09 Serie A season gets underway and he admits that his new deal is likely to be the last he signs as a professional footballer.
"We can say that it is a deal for life because this is the intention of the agreement," he told the club's official website.
"There are strong feelings which bind me to Inter."
