Accrington have completed the signing of former Shrewsbury defender Colin Murdock on a free transfer. The 32-year-old centre-half has signed a one-year contract with Stanley after being released by the Shrews at the end of last season. Murdock started his career as a youth-team player at Manchester United, before making over 200 appearances for Preston. The Northern Ireland international has also played for Crewe, Rotherham and in the Scottish Premier League with Hibernian.
