Seagulls given all-clear until 2011
Brighton have been given the all-clear to remain at the Withdean Stadium until 2011.
The Seagulls have received planning permission to stay at the ground for the next three years after Brighton & Hove Council voted unanimously in favour of their application.
The League One outfit have been playing their home games at the converted athletics stadium since 1999 and are hoping to establish a permanent base at Falmer.
The latest verdict means Albion can continue playing at Withdean until they are ready to move into the new stadium.
"This is the last time we are going to have to apply for planning permission at Withdean," said chief executive Martin Perry.
"It secures the future of the club in the short term and now we can concentrate on delivering the new stadium at Falmer."
