Iranian ace heading for Spain
Osasuna claim to have secured a deal which will take Masoud Shojaei to the Primera Liga.
The Iranian international currently plies his trade in the United Arab Emirates with Al Sharjah, but looks destined for Spain.
Should he complete the formalities of the move Shojaei will become the second Iranian on Osasuna's books, following in the footsteps of midfielder Javad Nekounam.
No financial details concerning the transfer fee involved have been revealed, although Osasuna have confirmed that the midfielder will have a 6million euros (£4.7m) buyout clause for the first 18 months of his contract.
This figure will then fall to 3.5million euros (£2.7m) for the remainder of his time at the club.
Osasuna desperately need to rebuild their weary squad this summer having avoided relegation by just a solitary point during the 2007/08 campaign.
