Warnock ready to let winger go
Neil Warnock has confirmed that Ashley-Paul Robinson is to leave Crystal Palace after the winger caused a stir by revealing his future plans on Facebook.
The 18-year-old wrote a message on the social networking site over the weekend announcing that he was having a trial with Fulham.
His message could be seen by all 2.7million members of the site who have joined its London section, breaking the story to supporters of both clubs.
Palace have also learned of Robinson's actions and are reported to be embarrassed that he has made his intentions so public.
Robinson has come up through the ranks at Palace and made his debut as a substitute against Preston late last season.
He made five further appearances and made such a good impression that Warnock offered him a new deal.
However, the Palace boss is now ready to let Robinson go following his internet gaffe.
"It was a mutual agreement that Ashley should go elsewhere," Warnock told the
Croydon Guardian.
"He knew he was not in my plans and asked to look somewhere else.
"His contract was up so he was free to go, and now he is looking elsewhere."
