An under-strength Everton side lost 1-0 to Swiss side FC Sion in their pre-season friendly on Saturday. The Toffees fielded an inexperienced line-up in their first outing since returning to training and were deservedly beaten by a 58th-minute goal from Didier Cretterand. The midfielder calmly finished past goalkeeper Iain Turner after playing a neat one-two to open up the Everton defence. David Moyes' men could have been level within minutes but substitute Kieran Agard glanced his header wide.
