Prospective Juve signing ready to win over his critics
Christian Poulsen is aware he will not be a popular signing with Juventus fans, but is determined to win over his critics.
The Sevilla midfielder is expected to be in Turin on Monday to undergo a medical with a view to completing a £6million move.
He has previously clashed with Roma captain Francesco Totti and Milan playmaker Kaka, while Juventus supporters have protested against his signing.
However, the Denmark international is relishing the chance to play for Juve and wants to prove to his detractors that he will be a worthwhile recruit.
Reputation
"I know that, for me, playing in Italy won't be easy, especially in Rome and in Milan because of past episodes," Poulsen told
Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I know of my reputation as a provocateur, but if a club buys me, they sign a player who always gives 100 per cent on the pitch to win.
"I'm not worried. I know I must play in a good way to earn people's faith - as usual what counts is what you do on the pitch.
"I'm really happy to be able to play for a side like Juventus because they are a big club and also because I'll have the opportunity to play in the Champions League."
