Romanian desperate for Wearside move
Romanian defender Dorin Goian is determined to win a move to Sunderland.
Sunderland boss Roy Keane has made a move for Goian after being impressed by the defender during Euro 2008.
The Black Cats are believed to have agreed a deal with Steaua Bucharest for Goian, but a number of other clubs are thought to be waiting in the wings to swoop for the centre-back.
Goian's English representative Peter Harrison says the 27-year-old has his heart set on a switch to the Stadium of Light.
"Dorin would love to play for Sunderland," Harrison told
The Sunderland Echo.
"He is desperate for the deal to go through. He really hopes Sunderland and Steaua can reach an agreement."
