Real Madrid forward Robinho has announced that he wants to stay at the Bernabeu for a 'long time'.
Brazilian star focused on life in Spain
Real Madrid forward Robinho has announced that he wants to stay at the Bernabeu for a 'long time' following reported interest from Chelsea.
Rumour has been rife that the 24-year-old is on his way to Stamford Bridge, as manager Luiz Felipe Scolari attempts to build a squad capable of overhauling Manchester United in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
It was claimed that Robinho was attracted by the idea of linking up with fellow Brazilian Scolari.
However, Robinho insists he is happy with Real and is only thinking about life with the Primera Liga champions.
Happy
"I want to stay at Real Madrid for a long time," he told Spanish newspaper
Marca.
"I'm very happy and I want to continue. My head is calm, I want to have a good pre-season with Real Madrid and continue here."
Robinho has also been in talks with Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic, during which it is believed a new contract was discussed.
Yet neither the club nor the player have revealed the motive for these talks, with Robinho only saying: "It's between us."
