Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has revealed that Michael Twiss could be set to join Bury.
The Shakers are interested in signing the midfielder from their League Two rivals.
Twiss struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Christie Park last season and McIlroy thinks he is tempted by Bury.
"I have a policy of always telling players if clubs are interested in them," said McIlroy.
"I told Michael about Bury's interest and he seemed very keen. He lives two minutes away from Gigg Lane and I'm sure that will be something that will interest him.
"Michael had a difficult time of it last year and didn't play much to be fair.
"At this stage of his career it is something that my give him a real lift and if he does sign for Bury we wish him all the best."
