Hornets manager a fan of MK Dons skipper

Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd doubts he will be able to afford to sign Milton Keynes Dons captain Keith Andrews. Boothroyd is looking to improve his squad and believes midfielder Andrews could become a key player for the Hornets. However, despite banking £2million from the sale of Darius Henderson to Sheffield United, Boothroyd concedes he does not have the money to fund a bid for Andrews. "I don't think I'll have the sort of money the MK Dons are talking about to go and bid for that player," Boothroyd told the Watford Observer. "He's player I really like, he was the best player in League Two last year. "He would score a lot of goals for us, but I'm not in a position to go and spend that kind of money." Andrews is currently on the transfer list at stadium:mk due to the speculation surrounding his future after also being linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers.
