Rangers lead chase for Nigerian
Skysports.com understands Sunderland are open to offers for Dickson Etuhu.
Etuhu joined the Black Cats from Norwich last summer and made 20 appearances for Roy Keane's side last season.
Keane is believed to be willing to offload Etuhu for the right price as he looks to trim his squad and raise funds for his own signings.
The arrival of Teemu Tainio has increased Keane's options in midfield and he is believed to be ready to listen to offers for the former Manchester City man.
Rangers are believed to be leading the chase for Etuhu and Gers Walter Smith is understood to have made an enquiry for the 26-year-old.
However, news of Etuhu's possible availability is believed to have alerted a number of Premier League sides who are ready to challenge Rangers for the Nigerian's signature.
